Distribution of items and goods

Almost all implementing partners do distribution of some items (directly or indirectly) to the refugee community (sanitation kits food stamps, seeds, ….). A recurring issue is that the number of beneficiaries is always higher than expected. The process is also cumbersome and prone to inaccuracies. 
How might we leverage digital solutions to improve the distribution experience, leakages and inaccuracies across the entire distribution process?
